Last week, it was revealed that *Jujutsu Kaisen* is approaching its conclusion. This means that anything can happen in the upcoming weeks. Chapter 267, released on Monday, certainly delivered on that front. It featured the unexpected return of a significant character years after their presumed demise. Spoilers for the latest chapter follow…
The chapter begins with a flashback to Yuta and Gojo during their Body Swap training, where they discuss who should possess Sukuna’s final finger. As noted at the end of Chapter 266, this last finger is still unaccounted for, and this chapter sheds more light on it. Yuta proposes using it to strengthen Rika, believing this will allow her to replicate Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine, though Gojo doubts the effectiveness of this strategy.
In the present, Yuji and Sukuna are engaged in a fierce battle. We learn that Utahime and Gakuganju hold the final finger. Additionally, it’s revealed that Nobara is alive, contrary to previous beliefs that she was killed by Mahito during the Shibuya Incident arc. Despite being awake for less than an hour, Nobara employs Resonance on the finger, inflicting significant damage on Sukuna. This gives Yuji a crucial advantage, enabling him to use Dismantle and then land a powerful Black Flash on the King of Curses, severely injuring him.
This chapter is certainly one to remember! Nobara’s return, especially at this late stage, is surprising, and her fate has been a topic of fan speculation since her apparent death in 2020, which was never entirely definitive. It will be intriguing to see what role she plays in the series now that only four chapters remain…
