NLE Choppa recently made an appearance at the 2024 BET Awards. The rapper has consistently expressed his support for the queer community this year!

If I were a confident individual, I’d want to celebrate NLE Choppa too!

We adore rapper NLE Choppa, having named his bold anthem “Slut Me Out 2” among our top Songs of the Summer. We’ve been singing along all season, and the track has gained significant popularity within the LGBTQ+ community.

Our admiration for NLE has only grown as he continues to acknowledge the queer community for their support. Recently, he shared a new post that reinforces this connection.

Yesterday, the rapper posted a couple of selfies on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption “I’m Coming Out…,” sparking speculation about whether he was revealing a queer identity after his longstanding support for the LGBTQ+ community.

However, NLE followed up with another post, stating, “Out… with ‘Or What’ !! (OUTNOW)” and “Slut SZN Project SEPT 27.”

So, it appears that his “coming out” was more about new music. Still, NLE has consistently demonstrated his love for the LGBTQ+ community, and we appreciate him for it!

Back in April, NLE expressed gratitude to his LGBTQ+ fans for their support of “Slut Me Out 2.”

“I’ve noticed the LGBTQ+ community showing so much love to ‘Slut Me Out 2,’ and I just want to say thank you,” he tweeted. “I don’t care about what’s typical for rappers; I was raised to support those who support you! Thank you all for valuing my craft… My music is for everyone, no discrimination.”

When a follower suggested that NLE was crossing a line, he responded assertively.

“I’m gay for showing love? You guys are lost; that’s why we’re hurting each other every day—because you can’t express love. Meanwhile, some of you are hiding your true selves! My gratitude has nothing to do with my sexuality.”

NLE further showcased his support for the community when he performed at Atlanta Black Pride earlier this month.

“If you’ve had something to say about me over the past six months regarding my sexuality, this might only fuel your curiosity,” he shared on Instagram. “I know who I am and appreciate it deeply. I’m coming to Atlanta for Black Pride to show love to the LGBTQ+ community, who have been one of the best audiences for ‘Slut Me Out 2.’ Just like they show me love, I’m giving it back.”

He later shared a video from his performance at Atlanta Black Pride.

“As a rapper, I’ve felt pressure to move away from love. But as I’ve evolved into an artist, I’ve learned to embrace whoever appreciates my art,” he wrote in the video’s caption. “I hope this post encourages others to open their minds and hearts! We all seek acceptance, regardless of our battles. God is love, and love brings unity. I am a heterosexual male, and if you identify as such, what’s the problem? God bless.”

In the video, he emphasized that his participation at Pride wasn’t for publicity but to make a meaningful impact and spread love.

Even though he isn’t coming out as queer, we wholeheartedly support NLE Choppa in the community.
